Incredible Hulk’s The Leader Breaks Silence on Surprise Cap 4 Return

At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios made a staggering number of announcements and revelations. They managed to maintain that momentum into D23, a convention that had some truly monumental MCU-related events of its own. The announcement that Tim Blake Nelson, star of The Incredible Hulk, will reprise his role as The Leader in Captain America: Fresh World Order was one of the most significant bits of new information.

The last time viewers saw the character was in the 2008 movie Bruce Banner, starring Edward Norton. The unfortunate scientist, played by Nelson, is shown dramatically changed as he lies on the ground with Hulk blood pouring into an open wound on his head.

The character hasn't been mentioned since then in any of the other MCU films (or series). Therefore, it was a major announcement when Marvel Studios revealed that he will be making a comeback in New World Order.

What, though, does the character's actor have to say about making a comeback after such a long absence?

Tim Blake Nelson, who plays the recently revealed adversary in Captain America: New World Order, spoke out on returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Marvel Studios' D23 presentation.
